Located in the central and southern part of the Aegean Sea, there are 39 islands in the Cyclades of which 24 are inhabited. The more important are Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Antiparos, Delos, Ios, Kea, Kimolos, Folegandros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini (also called Thera), Serifos, Sikinos, Sifnos, Syros and Tinos. On these small islands where the past and the present come together one can find vivid cosmopolitan night life and at the same time tranquility and peace. Narrow paths full of flowers, white houses, blue windows, white churches under the dazzling sun light which are complimented with golden beaches ideal for all sorts of sporting activities make these islands a delight to visit.
The islands are small , all lie in a circle around the uninhabited island of Delos, an ancient religious center with the sanctuary of Apollo, very close to each other and that is what makes them ideal for island hopping.
